Appearing only in recent years, intertext become widespread with its own forms, such as allusion, quote and reminiscence. And the novel “Percy Jackson” b y American writer Rick Riordan seems to be an example of the use of intertext-allusion within the work. 12-year-old boy, Percy Jackson, becomes the part of adventeruos, danderous and exciting world of Ancient Greek Gods, legends, myths and heroes. This work tries to study and analyse the importance of allusion to understand the idea of the writer and interpret the used allusions in the first book of Riordan “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief”.

This article discusses coloration vocabulary that expresses the meaning of a color.  The vocabulary denoting color, as a descriptive element, acts in a direct meaning, and can also have an additional figurative meaning. Color coding has been studied by researchers in various aspects. There is a description of the composition the colorative vocabulary and its semantic structure. The research was carried out in ethnolinguistic, comparative-historical and psycholinguistic aspects. Also, proven the psychophysiological influence of color on a person.

This article provides a semantic analysis of food realias in two languages by comparing English and Uzbek cultures and analyzing their similarities and differences dividing them into groups. The article shares essential information on the basis of examples of food realias in two languages. Comparative-typological, synchronic and diachronic methods were used for the purpose of revealing similarities and distinctions among the realias in two languages. On the basis of those methods it was obvious that semantic analyses of realias blurt out differences in culture, technology of cooking and ingridients of food. A simple analyses of this type could be a model for researchers anywhere who wish to investigate their professional practice.

The Genesis of the development of theconcept of “professional competence” based on the analysis of various sources is discussed.The term “professional competence” is considered and its main components are made. The effectiveness of the use of multimedia presentations in the learning process is substantiated.

In the article, the authors are based on the verdict that the main and most important element of world religion is the phenomenon of the prophets. Education is considered to be a key instrument of human and economic transformation in all nations of the world. The effectiveness of such education depends on the decision to review the content and approaches of the present education system in Nigeria. This paper, therefore, aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s education through adequate health facilities, using secondary schools in Delta State as a case study. From a population of ……… teachers and…………. Principals in the government owned secondary schools in Delta State, 50 principals and 600 teachers were selected as sample. Data were collected and analysed using mean and one way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), conducted at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed that there is a significant difference in the mean ratings of male and female teachers on sources of drinking water in schools in Delta State. It also showed that there is no significant difference in the mean ratings of male and female teachers on availability of sanitation facilities in schools in Delta State. The findings indicated that there is a significant difference in the mean ratings of male and female teachers on method of refuse disposal in schools in Delta State. The paper recommends that government and school authorities should make effort to ensure that students have access to good source of drinking water, good sanitation facilities and device safe method of waste disposal.
