The study presents a systematized analysis of mechanisms of damage to the nail unit associated with modern cosmetic procedures — strengthening, modeling, smart pedicure, and artistic design. The aim of the research is to develop a scientifically verified model that makes it possible to determine the optimal frequency of procedures and risk-minimization protocols based on the integration of data from dermatology, toxicology, and biomechanics. The methodology includes a systematic review of peer-reviewed publications. The results indicate that the leading determinant of iatrogenic complications is allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) induced by incompletely polymerized (meth)acrylate monomers, primarily 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), with the prevalence of sensitization reaching 56.6%. It has been established that a significant contribution is made by mechanical injuries arising from aggressive preparation of the nail plate and incorrect operation of hardware techniques, as well as toxicological risks due to the presence of heavy metals in pigments (for example, antimony). Based on data on the cyclicity of nail plate regeneration (complete renewal of fingernails — in 6 months), a quantitative model for periodizing procedures with mandatory recovery intervals is proposed, aimed at preventing cumulative damage. The formulated conclusions and proposed protocols have practical applicability for dermatologists, nail service specialists, occupational health experts, and regulatory authorities.

The abdominal aorta plays a critical role in blood circulation, and understanding its mechanical behavior is essential for the prevention and treatment of vascular diseases, such as aneurysms and atherosclerosis. This study aims to evaluate the stress state and load-bearing fraction in the abdominal aorta using an in vivo parameter identification method. This method combines medical imaging data with mechanical modeling to accurately estimate the mechanical properties of the aortic wall. The study employs finite element analysis (FEA) to model the abdominal aorta's stress distribution and load-bearing capacity under physiological conditions. Results indicate that this method provides a reliable estimate of the aorta's mechanical behavior and offers potential clinical applications in the personalized assessment of vascular health.

This article presents an analysis of the functional and aesthetic aspects of thinning and micro-graduation as applied hairdressing techniques for correcting the hairline in women. The study is based on an interdisciplinary approach that combines insights from aesthetic trichology, cosmetic dermatology, applied psychology, and visual anthropology. Special attention is given to thematic analysis of sources covering the morphological features of the frontal zone, psychoemotional perception of the hairline, and non-medical modeling practices. Key mechanisms of influence are identified, including optical contour softening, restoration of visual symmetry, and reduced emphasis on frontal imperfections through texturization. A comparative analysis of methods highlights the advantages of thinning and micro-graduation in terms of reversibility, individual customization, and applicability to localized defects. The necessity of accounting for morphological parameters, skin phototype, hair behavior, and stylistic expectations when selecting techniques is substantiated. The article presents an original typology of non-medical hairline correction methods, including textural, pigment-based, and device-assisted approaches. It also explores promising directions in hairdressing practice development, such as the standardization of visual diagnostics, integration of photo documentation, and the expansion of professional competencies in working with the frontal hairline. Cubital tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the second most common compressive neuropathy of the upper limb, associated with symptoms of pain, paresthesia and hand weakness, with a significant impact on patients' quality of life.¹ The primary surgical treatment is decompression of the ulnar nerve using the open in situ technique, with good scientific evidence and a low complication rate. ²

Minimally invasive techniques, such as endoscopic in situ decompression (EISD), have emerged as an alternative, promising smaller scars, less postoperative pain and faster functional return. Doubts remain about the safety, efficacy and complication profile of these techniques when compared to open in situ decompression (OISD).²

Randomized clinical trials, such as those by Elwenspoek et al. in 2014-2017 with 45 patients, showed equivalence in clinical outcomes (Bishop's excellent/optimal score between 90-96%), but with less chronic scar pain and better aesthetic satisfaction in the endoscopic group, albeit with a longer operative time. Another randomized double-blind study (2008-2011, 56 cases) corroborated the similarity of functional results, observing a higher incidence of hematomas in the endoscopic group. ^2,3

Two contemporary meta-analyses consolidate this perception: The meta-analysis of 686 cases revealed endoscopic decompression with longer surgical duration, increased risk of hematoma and acute pain, but less postoperative paresthesia and better grip strength. And a previous meta-analysis comparing eight studies (582 patients) confirmed equivalent efficacy, highlighting less painful scar sensitivity in the endoscopic group .³

To this end, despite equivalence in functional and clinical outcomes, EISD offers advantages in terms of scar, chronic pain and grip strength, at the cost of longer surgical time and risk of hematoma, more robust and standardized studies are needed. Traditional methods of cognitive optimisation are often oriented solely toward short-term stimulation, overlooking the brain’s fundamental need for cyclical recovery. The present study conducts a scientific analysis of the innovative two-phase nootropic formula AM/PM Brain Booster, developed in accordance with natural circadian rhythms. The aim of the work is the systematic evaluation and verification of the chronobiological approach in neuronutriceutics using this complex as an example. The article examines the impact of long-term ecological stress on the morphological condition of the myocardium. It presents data indicating the development of structural changes in heart muscle tissue under the influence of environmental pollutants such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, heavy metals, and toxic compounds. Special attention is given to pathomorphological changes — myolysis, interstitial fibrosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, and epigenetic alterations. The importance of early diagnosis and preventive strategies is emphasized in the context of a deteriorating environmental situation.

Healthcare professionals in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) globally face a high risk of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and comorbid psychological conditions, a crisis exacerbated in resource-constrained and conflict-affected settings. This study aimed to establish the comorbidities associated with PTSD among ICU healthcare professionals in high-stress hospitals in Kumbo, Cameroon. A quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted with 134 ICU staff (nurses, physicians, auxiliary staff) from two general hospitals, including Saint Elizabeth General Hospital and Banso Baptist Hospital. Participants completed self-administered questionnaires, including the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests of independence. The results revealed a near-universal prevalence of probable PTSD (94.8%), accompanied by high rates of probable depression (82.8%), probable anxiety (85.1%), and burnout risk or diagnosis (86.6%). However, statistical analyses found no significant associations between PTSD status and depression (χ²(1)=1.53, p=.216, φ=.11), anxiety (χ²(1)=1.08, p=.298, φ=.09), or burnout (χ²(2)=0.47, p=.791, Cramér's V=.06). The lack of significant association indicates that these conditions form a pervasive syndemic of distress affecting the entire workforce uniformly, rather than impacting a subset of individuals. The conclusion is that the extreme context creates a universal psychological burden, necessitating a paradigm shift from individual-focused interventions to systemic, organization-wide reforms to address the root causes of this occupational health crisis.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of minimally invasive surgical treatment for patients with synovial cysts of the lumbar spine, comparing the results between the interlaminar and transforaminal routes, according to the post-operative results. Methodology: Systematic review with meta-analysis, registered under the prestigious ID CRD42024557771. The research questions were defined using the PICOS model in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. Results: 208 patients were included, of whom 25 did not continue and were excluded from the study, and 183 were analyzed. The patients underwent surgery via the interlaminar and transforaminal routes. In the evaluation of MacNab's criteria, most of the patients had excellent and good results; those who had poor results had some degree of spondylolisthesis and were re-approved, with improvement in their pain. Conclusion: Synovial cysts can be effectively treated with a tubular retractor system in conjunction with an endoscope or microscope. The use of a retractor minimizes soft tissue trauma, incision length and blood loss. In addition, the rupture of ligament and bone structures is minimized with a unilateral approach, which is important in those patients where the synovial cyst is associated with spondylolisthesis, reducing the risk of progressive instability and the need for spinal fusion.

This article examines the specifics of improving ART laboratories. The objective of the study is to systematize and analyze advanced approaches to optimizing the operation of embryology laboratories by constructing an integrated model that combines technological innovations, quality management standards and methods for assessing staff professional competence to enhance the efficiency of ART procedures. As the methodological basis, a review of scientific publications and specialized reports for the period 2021–2025 was carried out, dedicated to the key parameters of embryology unit functioning. In the course of the analysis the following were examined in detail: integration of ISO 9001 requirements into the quality management system, application of artificial intelligence algorithms in embryo selection, implementation of noninvasive preimplantation genetic testing (niPGT-A) and harmonization of key performance indicators (KPI). On the basis of the obtained data an integrative management model Quality–Efficiency–Outcome (КЭР) is proposed, demonstrating the synergistic effect of comprehensive innovation implementation. It was revealed that the use of AI increases the accuracy of embryo viability prediction compared with traditional morphological assessment, while KPI standardization ensures a reduction in interlaboratory result variability. The results confirm that the transition from local to comprehensive solutions is the determining factor for sustainable improvement in ART cycle success rates. The practical significance of these materials is especially high for heads of reproductive medicine clinics, managers of embryology departments and related specialists.
