This study aims to analyze the impact of therapeutic models based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and treatment readiness among violent offenders. The study investigates how CBT interventions and the readiness of offenders to engage in treatment influence their outcomes in terms of reducing violence and promoting rehabilitation. A comprehensive review of relevant literature is conducted to explore the theoretical foundations of CBT, treatment readiness, and their applications in the context of violent offenders. The study highlights the importance of individualized treatment approaches that address the specific needs and challenges of this population. It also examines the potential barriers and facilitators to treatment readiness and explores strategies to enhance treatment engagement. The aim of this study is to critically examine the existing legal framework and policies addressing drug offenses committed by juveniles in India. The concept of police legitimacy has gained significant attention in criminology and criminal justice research, as it pertains to the public's perception of the police and their willingness to cooperate with law enforcement. The Police Legitimacy Scale (PLS) is a widely used measure designed to assess individuals' perceptions of police legitimacy. However, its validity and applicability in different cultural contexts, such as Canada, warrant empirical examination. This study aims to validate the Police Legitimacy Scale using a Canadian sample. Participants from diverse regions of Canada completed the PLS, along with additional measures assessing attitudes towards the police, trust in law enforcement, and perceptions of procedural justice. Confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to assess the scale's factorial structure and internal consistency. Furthermore, convergent and discriminant validity analyses were conducted to examine the relationships between the PLS and related constructs. The findings provide evidence supporting the validity and reliability of the Police Legitimacy Scale within the Canadian context, thus establishing its utility for future research on public perceptions of police legitimacy in Canada.

This article discusses the prospects of self-regulation in social networks. The introduction of social media improved the quality of our life. However, it has also led to concerns about privacy, cyberbullying, hate speech, and fake news. Governments and regulators have attempted to address these issues through legislation and policies, but these measures can be limited in their effectiveness. Self-regulation by social media companies and users themselves could provide a more flexible and responsive approach to addressing these challenges. This article examines the potential benefits and limitations of self-regulation in social networks, as well as the role of different stakeholders in promoting responsible use of social media platforms. It argues that self-regulation can play an important role in promoting online safety and fostering a healthy digital environment, but it requires ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure its effectiveness.

The metaverse is the next step in the development of the Internet and, accordingly, the next step in the development of private law relations. To date, some prototypes of the metaverse already exist and are successfully functioning, but there is no legal regulation of the economic metaverse turnover of digital goods. In this paper, the author suggests some of the most important directions for the development of private law in the metaverse.

Drug Treatment Courts (DTCs) have emerged as an alternative approach to traditional criminal justice responses for individuals with substance use disorders. This quantitative study examines the post-sentencing and reoffense outcomes of a Drug Treatment Court in a Western Canadian city. The study analyzes data from a sample of individuals who participated in the DTC program, comparing their post-sentencing outcomes to a matched comparison group of individuals who went through the regular criminal justice process. Outcome measures include recidivism rates, substance use patterns, treatment completion rates, and social reintegration outcomes. The findings provide insights into the effectiveness of the Drug Treatment Court in reducing recidivism, improving treatment outcomes, and facilitating successful community reintegration among individuals with substance use disorders. The implications of these findings for policy, practice, and future research are discussed.

This article analyses the criminal situation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is an integral part of the socio-economic situation and has a negative impact on all spheres of society.

The article also reveals concepts such as "criminological analysis", "criminological assessment" and "criminological prognosis", the influence of these concepts on the criminogenic and criminal-legal situation in the country is studied. The proposals and conclusions on improving the system analysis of socio-economic realities and criminogenic processes occurring in the country are presented.

The authors came to the conclusion that forecasting makes it possible to correctly determine the goals of criminal policy, highlight the main thing, identify the secondary, and contribute to the development of a mechanism for the consistent implementation of the solutions developed, which were confirmed in the article.

The article describes some considerations on the analysis of objective signs of crimes related to the use and protection of land by the author. Also, the author notes that today the land and its use are of strategic importance. Nevertheless, cases of violation of the procedure for the protection and rational use of land, which is our national wealth, by subjects, officials and citizens operating economic activities on the basis of various forms of ownership in a market economy, have appeared in practice in many cases. The main reason for this is the insufficient level of environmental legal consciousness and culture of the subjects of law, the absence of gaps in the relevant legislation, the formation of a mechanism for the implementation of existing legislation into life. This leads to various violations in the field of land use. In this respect, it is important to research objective signs of an act in determining the responsibility for this type of crime. The author investigated this topic, substantiating the appropriateness of the inclusion of a rule that states that a person who committed the crime of selling a right to a plot of land or part of it or illegally giving it to another person can be released from criminal liability if he confesses to his guilt, reconciles with the victim and eliminates the damage caused.
