The article examines the virulence of the isolation of wheat yellow rust (Puccina striiformis f.sp.
tritica), one of the main problems of the grain industry, from Bekabad district of Tashkent region of
the Republic of Uzbekistan. The racial formula of the disease sample was found to be 239E242 in
terms of virulence, and the virulence of this race relative to genes using isogenic lines known to
contain genes responsible for yellow rust disease.
