The article is devoted to specific issues of interaction between industrial and social ecology, analysis and assessment of natural and socialrelations as a single natural-territorial ecosystem. Based on the international practice of managing the environmental situation in large industrial cities, the issues of planning construction works and improving the environment in large cities are considered.
